New details are emerging surrounding Lindsay Lohan’s family, as her former stepmother Kate Lohan has been arrested following an alleged violent altercation involving her ex-husband, Michael Lohan.

According to reports from People.com, Kate Lohan was taken into custody in Texas after an incident involving Michael Lohan during what was reportedly a child exchange. Authorities allege that the situation escalated quickly, leading to physical violence.

Court documents claim that Kate allegedly struck Michael in the face, resulting in visible injuries, including a bloody nose. The altercation reportedly intensified when she allegedly threw a knife in his direction. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured.

Following the incident, Kate was arrested and charged with assault involving a family member, with the case being treated as a repeat offense due to a prior incident. She was booked into jail with a reported bond set at $35,000.

As part of the legal proceedings, a judge issued an emergency protective order preventing Kate from contacting Michael. She has also been ordered to undergo alcohol testing and is restricted from using controlled substances.

The situation adds to a long history of legal and personal conflict between the former couple, who share two children. Both Kate and Michael have previously faced allegations of domestic disputes over the years, making this latest incident another chapter in an ongoing turbulent relationship.
