Charlie Puth’s newest role has nothing to do with the recording studio. The singer-songwriter opened up about becoming a father while fielding some unexpectedly direct questions from children during Celebrity Substitute.

“It’s fun being a dad, knowing that there’s another human that I have to responsible for,” Puth, 34, says. Puth and his wife Brooke Sansone Puth welcomed their son Jude on March 13, 2026.
When one of the kids is asked what they think it’s like being a dad, she says it’s an opportunity to “treat your kid good.”
“Ditto. I want to work really hard for Jude. He’s just a little baby,” Puth responds.
As Puth balances touring, music and parenthood, his appearance offered fans a lighter look at how welcoming son Jude has changed his priorities away from the stage.
