When asked what winning an Oscar would mean to him as a Black artist, Michael B. Jordan shared some thoughtful insights about the journey and responsibility that come with such recognition. Reflecting on the legacy of acting legends like Sidney Poitier and Denzel Washington, he acknowledged the path they paved for artists of color in Hollywood.

The “Sinners” star also recalled advice his father gave him about the importance of hard work, before offering a piece of guidance from his own experience: “Dream big, be kind and be honest.” Jordan’s words resonated as both a personal mantra and a message to aspiring actors navigating the industry.
