Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially reached a major milestone at the worldwide box office. The Tom Holland-led Marvel blockbuster has become just the eighth film in history to gross more than $2 billion globally, placing it among the highest-grossing movies of all time. The achievement adds another impressive chapter to the long-running success of the Spider-Man franchise and further demonstrates the character’s enduring appeal with moviegoers.

The Marvel blockbuster reached the milestone in its third weekend of release after collecting another $70 million domestically and $118.7 million overseas, bringing its global total to a jaw-dropping $2.022 billion, according to Sony.
This makes “Brand New Day” the second-fastest film to reach $2 billion, behind only 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame.” The hit film is also now the highest-grossing “Spider-Man” movie of all time worldwide after passing the $1.9 billion haul of 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
“Brand New Day” is just the third film this decade to reach $2 billion worldwide, and the first American movie to hit the milestone in nearly four years. The only other $2 billion releases of the 2020s so far are the 2022 sci-fi sequel “Avatar: The Way of Water” and the 2025 Chinese animated hit “Ne Zha 2.”
Starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, “Brand New Day” has been breaking a slew of records since opening in theaters on July 31 and blowing all box office expectations out of the water. Holland’s fourth solo outing as Peter Parker stunned with the biggest opening weekend in domestic box office history: $360 million, topping the previous record-holder, “Avengers: Endgame” ($357 million).
