Crystal Harris is publicly expressing concerns about an upcoming Hollywood movie connected to the Playboy Mansion. The widow of Hugh Hefner has asked actress Jessica Biel to reconsider her role in Playmates, citing allegations of abuse and exploitation associated with the late Playboy founder.

According to PEOPLE, Harris shared a message directed at Biel through Instagram on October 8th. In the post, she described alleged abuse she experienced during her marriage to Hefner and expressed concern that the upcoming movie could romanticize the Playboy lifestyle. Biel is set to portray a fictional character rather than Harris herself. The film, written and directed by Lorraine Nicholson, also stars Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Pullman, and Indiana Elle. PEOPLE reported that it contacted Biel’s representatives for comment.
Harris’ public statement adds a new dimension to the conversation surrounding Playmates, raising questions about how filmmakers portray controversial historical figures and the experiences of people connected to them.
