Zendaya is adding another major project to her Hollywood résumé. The Emmy-winning actress is set to star in an untitled science fiction film from writer and director Alex Garland, with A24 backing the production.
According to TheWrap, Zendaya has signed on to star in Garland’s upcoming science fiction film for A24. Production is scheduled to begin in 2027. Plot details, additional casting and a release date have not yet been announced.
The project marks another collaboration between Zendaya and A24 following her work in The Drama and HBO’s Euphoria. Garland has previously collaborated with the studio on Civil War, Men and Warfare. His filmmaking credits also include Ex Machina and the upcoming Elden Ring adaptation.
Zendaya’s upcoming projects include Dune: Part Three, scheduled for release in December 2026. Garland is also working on Elden Ring, which is currently scheduled for a March 2028 release. The filmmaker is expected to continue developing both projects as production preparations move forward.
