Tyler Perry is reportedly making a major investment in Puerto Rico as he prepares for the next chapter of his personal and professional life. The filmmaker has purchased a multimillion-dollar mansion, with new reports suggesting he also plans to expand his entertainment production operations to the island.

According to TMZ, Perry recently purchased a $30 million mansion in Puerto Rico. The 14,475-square-foot residence sits on approximately 1.4 acres inside a gated community. Built in 2021, the property features five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a movie theater, a swimming pool and a private gym.

Sources told the publication that Perry also plans to establish a production office in Puerto Rico. The filmmaker reportedly intends to shoot television projects on the island. However, no specific productions or opening dates have been publicly confirmed.

The reported purchase follows Perry’s September announcement that he intends to relocate to Puerto Rico in early 2027. He previously explained that he wanted to reduce his workload and spend more time with his son. His Atlanta-based studio operations are expected to remain active.
