Comedy and philanthropy came together for There’s Nothing Funny About Cancer, a special benefit presented by Comedy For A Cause in support of the Women’s Cancer Research Fund. Hosted by Cara Alpert and Kathleen Lewis, the event brought comedians, industry leaders and supporters together for an evening of entertainment centered on raising awareness and support for women’s cancer research.
The evening featured performances from Ali Kolbert, Craig Robinson, Leah Ruddick, Leslie Liao, Owen Thiele and Pat Regan, bringing an impressive lineup of comedic talent together for the cause. Bran Flakezz and Connor Hines were also among the guests who attended the benefit, which used comedy as a platform to rally support around the work of the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
Women’s Cancer Research Fund founder Jamie Tisch and Stacy Cramer served as co-chairs of the event, helping lead an evening that combined entertainment with philanthropy. The benefit brought together members of the comedy and entertainment communities to support WCRF and its commitment to advancing research focused on women’s cancers.
Through There’s Nothing Funny About Cancer, Comedy For A Cause demonstrated how laughter and entertainment can be used to bring people together around a serious issue. With performers, industry figures and supporters joining forces, the event turned a night of comedy into an opportunity to spotlight women’s cancer research and the ongoing work of WCRF.
