Supermodel and television personality Christie Brinkley is celebrating another career milestone after receiving a special handprint ceremony at MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes, France. The fashion icon was recognized for her contributions to entertainment and popular culture as she prepares for her upcoming Fox documentary series, Uptown Girl: The Christie Brinkley Story.

According to PEOPLE, Brinkley participated in the ceremony at the Palais des Festivals on October 12th, placing her handprints in a commemorative concrete slab that will be added to Cannes’ Chemin des Étoiles. The landmark recognizes notable entertainment personalities and is often compared to Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Brinkley attended the event wearing a silver sequined gown by L’AGENCE, paired with a cropped black leather jacket and silver accessories.

The honor follows Brinkley’s return to the runway during New York Fashion Week, where she appeared in designer Dennis Basso’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection. The presentation featured an Uptown Girl theme inspired by Brinkley’s appearance in Billy Joel’s 1983 music video of the same name. Her upcoming Fox documentary will further revisit her career and personal experiences, with a premiere planned for 2027. A specific premiere date has not been announced.

Brinkley’s latest recognition celebrates a career spanning more than five decades while building anticipation for a documentary that will introduce her personal and professional journey to a new generation of viewers.
