R&B singer Summer Walker is taking legal action against her longtime label and management company, Love Renaissance (LVRN), accusing the company of fraud, financial misconduct and withholding money earned throughout her career. The lawsuit comes amid a separate $50 million legal dispute with Interscope Records, raising questions about her recording agreements and financial dealings.
According to Billboard, Summer Walker filed a lawsuit against Love Renaissance (LVRN) in August 2026, alleging fraud, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. The singer claims the company improperly diverted funds connected to her music, touring and merchandise while maintaining extensive control over her career.
Walker also alleges LVRN sold merchandise featuring her name and likeness through Amazon and operated a YouTube channel using her identity without properly compensating her. She is seeking to void her agreement with the company and recover unspecified financial damages.
The lawsuit comes as Interscope Records pursues a separate $50 million claim against Walker over alleged unfulfilled recording obligations. The label argues she failed to deliver five contracted albums, while Walker has sought to terminate her agreement under California’s seven-year rule. Both legal disputes remain unresolved.
