Cure Addiction Now (CAN) is bringing together music, philanthropy, and groundbreaking medical research for its 3rd Annual Fundraising Evening, taking place Monday, November 9th, 2026, at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The star-studded event will feature live performances by pop singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin, Sam Nelson Harris of X Ambassadors, and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Siedah Garrett, as supporters gather to raise funds for innovative substance use disorder research and addiction treatment initiatives.
Co-founded by philanthropist Nancy Davis and her late son, Jason Davis, Cure Addiction Now is dedicated to advancing scientific research aimed at improving addiction treatment, reducing stigma, and developing solutions for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. The nonprofit’s annual fundraising event will unite supporters, advocates, and medical experts to generate funding for research exploring new approaches to addiction prevention and recovery. To date, CAN has funded 23 research studies, including projects investigating therapies designed to reduce cravings, improve access to detoxification, and advance vaccine research. The organization collaborates with leading researchers and medical institutions, including Harvard, Yale, UCLA, Mount Sinai, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, and several other universities.

Beyond its scientific initiatives, CAN emphasizes the relationship between addiction and mental health, recognizing that substance use disorder can be closely connected to anxiety, depression, and trauma. The organization advocates for a comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction while challenging the stigma that often prevents individuals from seeking help. Nancy Davis, who has also led the Race to Erase MS Gala for more than three decades, continues to expand her philanthropic efforts through CAN. Her longstanding work with Race to Erase MS has helped raise more than $58 million for multiple sclerosis research, demonstrating her continued commitment to supporting medical innovation and improving lives.
