Eminem and Kid Rock are reconnecting through music for Kid Rock’s upcoming album, Halfway 2 Jesus. The project also features Lil Wayne, bringing together three recognizable names for a release centered on faith, personal reflection and second chances.

According to PEOPLE, Eminem contributes a verse to Kid Rock’s song “Heal My Faith.” The collaboration reflects their friendship spanning several decades. Kid Rock explained that the song explores their shared history despite their differing political perspectives.

Eminem was originally expected to appear on another album track titled “7 Sins.” However, he later decided that “Heal My Faith” was a better fit for his contribution. Lil Wayne subsequently recorded a verse for “7 Sins,” adding another major hip-hop artist to the project.

Kid Rock’s album Halfway 2 Jesus is scheduled for release October 17. The singer described the project as an exploration of forgiveness, faith and personal growth. The album marks a new musical direction while incorporating collaborations with longtime friends.
