Jamie Foxx is opening up about the surprising Hollywood star who helped change his perspective on becoming a father again. The 58-year-old actor and comedian, who is expecting his third child with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, admitted that he was initially hesitant about having another baby at his age. That changed after he ran into fellow actor Al Pacino, who welcomed a child in his 80s. Foxx said seeing Pacino embrace fatherhood later in life helped reassure him that he was ready to begin this new chapter.

Jamie, 58, is already father to two grown daughters: 32-year-old Corinne Foxx, whom he shares with ex Connie Klein, and 17-year-old Anelise Bishop, whom he shares with ex Kristin Grannis. Given that he’s approaching 60, Jamie admitted he initially hesitated about starting over with a newborn until a chance encounter with a fellow Hollywood veteran changed his outlook.
“Being my age, I was a little on the fence, but then I ran into Al Pacino a few months ago,” Jamie told E! News on Thursday, August 20. During the conversation, the legendary actor joked about being 84-years-old and “back in the drop-off line” for school pick-ups. It was then that Jamie realized he had plenty of time to have another kid.
“I said, ‘Oh man, shoot, I’m good,'” Jamie joked.
Jokes aside, the Django Unchained star has always been a hands-on, devoted father. He and Corinne have spent the past eight years co-hosting the game show Beat Shazam, and she also runs his production company, Foxxhole Productions.
