    According to Variety, the long-awaited Miami Vice reboot is officially moving forward, with Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler confirmed as the film’s leads. The project has also received its official title, Miami Vice ’85, signaling a return to the franchise’s iconic 1980s roots.

    Jordan is set to play Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs, while Butler will take on the role of James “Sonny” Crockett. The film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for blockbuster hits like Top Gun: Maverick, bringing a high-energy, cinematic approach to the reboot.

    The project revisits the stylish crime world that made the original TV series a cultural phenomenon in the 1980s. With a major cast and big-screen ambition, the reboot aims to introduce the story to a new generation while honoring its legacy.
