Quentin Tarantino has shared a significant update on his filmmaking future, confirming that he has written a screenplay for his anticipated 10th feature film. However, the acclaimed director is not rushing back behind the camera as he prepares for a major theatrical project in London.
According to Variety, Tarantino confirmed during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show that he has completed a screenplay he is enthusiastic about. The filmmaker has long maintained that his 10th feature would mark his retirement from directing movies. Despite completing the script, he has not announced plans to begin filming.
Tarantino explained that he wants to concentrate on his upcoming stage production, The Popinjay Cavalier, before returning to filmmaking. The play, starring Sacha Baron Cohen, is scheduled to begin previews in February 2027 before officially opening in March. Its limited London engagement is expected to conclude June 13.
The director also expressed interest in spending time with his family after completing the theatrical production. His most recent feature film was 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. Additional details about his 10th film, including its title, storyline and cast, remain undisclosed.
